The ARM Cortex-A53 CPU makes the set-top box 25% more powerful than the previous generation devices. The CPU is equipped with the best GPU to ensure that MAG524/524w3 plays back 4K content even more efficiently at a frame rate of 60 fps.

The API continuity enables easy integration of devices into any project that already includes the MAG set-top boxes. Infomir integrates MAG524 and MAG524w3 with any middleware and DRM/CAS on request.

4K HDR and HEVC

MAG524/524w3 plays back movies, programs, and TV series in 4K HDR² Video frame rate is up to 60 fps. Even at slow internet speeds, the device plays back high-quality content without delays, thanks to H.265 and other modern codecs. Watching 4K content with H.264 requires a 32 Mbps connection, while a set-top box with H.265 only needs a speed of 15 Mbps.³.

Ethernet and Wi-Fi module

MAG524 has a modified version—MAG524w3—with a built-in Wi-Fi module operating at 2.4 and 5 GHz frequencies.

This device offers wired and wireless connectivity. The dual-band Wi-Fi module operates at speeds up to 100 Mbps at 2.4 GHz and 550 Mbps at 5 GHz. The set-top box features a 100 Mbps Ethernet port.⁴

MAG524 comes with a modern IR remote control made of anti-slip ABS plastic. The remote control is durable: each button is designed to withstand 300 thousand clicks.

IR systems and code pages can be configured optionally. Also, users can adjust the remote control settings by excluding the air conditioner, TV, and other devices from the range of its operation.
